We are a football family, to say the least. From Pop Warner to the NFL we love to watch the game, and now that play-offs are here it’s even more exciting. If your team didn’t make the play-offs, you might want to check out the game in a good sports bar. There are 3 really great sports bars in Santa Monica that would be perfect for NFL playoffs or for any sports event.
3110 Santa Monica Blvd.; Santa Monica, CA 90404 (310)-828-4567
Busby’s was voted the Best Sports Bar in Santa Monica and is ranked #3 in the entire nation. What makes it so great? Some say it’s the food. Busby’s food is not your normal bar grub, although they have amazing Buffalo wings, pizzas and the “Best Burger in town” they also have filet mignon, slow-cooked BBQ brisket, pulled pork, baby back ribs, country fried chicken, sandwiches & salads, and authentic Mexican food. An incredible, comfortable dining experience, while in the background, any game of your choice, any sport, anywhere in the world, is shown on 50 huge plasma TVs for the ultimate sports bar experience. Busby’s is the only sports bar that serves a complete breakfast Saturday and Sunday and offers a champagne sports brunch on the weekends.
Some say it’s the variety of sporting events: No matter what sport you’re interested in seeing, Busby’s prides themselves on being able to get it for you. They proudly claim to have every available ESPN sports package that there is and invite you to watch on one of their many plasma TV’s.
Q’s Billiard Club
11835 Wilshire Blvd; West Los Angeles, CA 90025 (310) 477-7550
As you might have guessed, Q’s has plenty of pool tables too (12 of them), just in case you aren’t one for half-time shows or you don’t care to catch the best Superbowl commercials. They have more than 30 TV’s where you can view the game, 3 outdoor patios, and a DJ spinning your favorite music. Q’s is one of the only late night dining spots on the west side.
1240 3rd Street Promenade; Santa Monica, CA 90401 (310) 393-5755
Looking for something a little more laid back? Cabo Cantina should fit the bill very nicely. In addition to several big screens to see the game, there is lots of good food, they always have fantastic drink specials, and on occasion, even a little karaoke.
These Santa Monica sports bars are always fun… Superbowl Sunday or any time! Where do you plan to watch The Big Game?
