The 41st annual Daytime Emmy Awards are to be held this Sunday night at the iconic Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. My handsome husband, Don Diamont, who plays Bill Spencer on The Bold and The Beautiful will be presenting at the awards, which means that I need to go shopping! Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite shops when it comes to special occasions and red carpet fashion.
When dressing for a special occasion, choosing the right color, print & cut for your body-type is a must. CLICK TO TWEET
I have always had a love of real estate, but I also have 22 years worth of experience as a television actress and as a result I am well trained when it comes to choosing the right clothes for my body type and coloring. Looking great starts with feeling great, and if you love what you’re wearing, that makes things easier.
One of my very favorite shops for special occasions and red carpet events is Simin Haute Couture on Robertson Boulevard in Beverly Hills. Simin creates magical and amazing bridal wear, but her formal gowns keep many Hollywood ladies looking their red carpet best, including my dear friend, Eva La Rue.

And of course, once you’ve chosen the perfect red carpet outfit, you need accessories. I love XIV Karets in Beverly Hills.
Located on S. Beverly Drive, this fabulous jewelry store has downtown prices and a Beverly Hills address. Fans of the shop include Angelina Jolie, Gwen Stefani, the Kardashians, and Hillary Duff. Cheryl, the owner is fantastic, and gives everyone personal attention. I always feel like I’m in great hands when I visit.
I’ve mentioned before how much I love Elyse Walker in Pacific Palisades, but Alice and Olivia is another favorite of mine. There are locations in California and New York, but I shop at the Malibu location. They do have a lovely selection of gowns and party dresses, but there amazing shoes, handbags and accessories as well. How about this gorgeous beaded clutch?
I may not use a stylist, but there are plenty of people who do and they can make all the difference. Eva La Rue uses George Blodwell, a wonderful and talented stylist who works with many celebrities, but one can also get help from personal shopping services and stylists at major department stores, such as Nordstrom’s, Barney’s or Bloomingdale’s.
These style resources are great, and I love all of these shops so much, but do you want to know my fashion “secret weapon”…? Zara.
If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen this super cute black and white striped dress I was wearing a few weeks ago. Zara! Amazing European style? Zara! Exceptional quality at reasonable prices? Zara! I love this store!

Do you have a favorite store that is your “go-to” for special occasions? Have you worked with a personal stylist? I’d love to hear about it. Be sure to follow me on Twitter and Instagram for live updates from the 41st annual Daytime Emmys
