Actress Eva La Rue is a very dear friend of mine, and I was very happy that when it came time to sell her beautiful home in Woodland Hills that she asked me to represent her. Eva and I met when we were both cast in a sitcom together and we’ve been good friends ever since.
Eva shares her home with her daughter Kaya and every room is warm, inviting and filled with mementos from Eva’s travels.
The beautiful Tudor exterior of the home sets the tone for a mix of traditional and whimsical decor. Eva had a nine-pointed star painted on the traditional ceiling of the dining room. The star represents spiritual completeness and the room has hosted many a fun evening.
The living room pairs comfortable furniture and warm wood tones.
Eva loves to travel and items she’s collected while on her adventures across Europe and Africa are beautifully mixed in with classic accessories like blue and white ginger jars and orchids.
The kitchen and breakfast nook are the heart of the house.
Fresh flowers, live plants and a collection of framed personal photos infuse the kitchen with personality.
The master suite is beautiful, featuring vaulted ceilings and beams.
The master bathroom is filled with natural light and a swoon-worthy free standing tub.
As gorgeous as the interior of Eva’s home is, the real show-stopper is the lushly landscaped backyard.
With a large family and lots of friends, Eva’s backyard is a regular destination for BBQ’s and get togethers.
There’s a lovely outdoor fireplace and conversation area, sparkling pool and serene spots throughout the property.
There are so many beautiful and warm touches in this home, all created by Eva. With a lovely blend of travel treasures, personal mementos and a sharp eye for design, Eva’s aesthetic is bound to make her next home a show-stopper as well.
However, I just know her as a great friend.
