Beautiful cabinets; gorgeous, solid-surface countertops; and, gleaming appliances are no-brainers for a dream kitchen, but, it’s the details that give a kitchen that extra something that makes people fall in love. One of those details is the perfect faucet, and there are some that you simply must see to believe! Specifically, I’m quite fond of the following five.

Grohe K7 Foot Control
The Grohe K7 Foot Control – YES! I said foot control! Touchless faucets are hit and miss, but this foot control faucet will stun with its combination of smooth, modern design with industrial flair. You’ll not only feel like you’re cooking in a chef’s kitchen, but you’ll be dancing to the sink just to wave your foot in front of the sensor.
Everyone’s familiar with the name Kohler and we all see it frequently, however, they’ve been producing some impressive design that might not immediately make you think Kohler. Ranging in everything from the traditional to ultra modern, Kohler seems to have something for every kitchen. Two perfect examples (numbers two and three on my list) are the modern Kohler Karbon and the more traditional or classic, Kohler Artifacts.

Kohler Karbon
The Karbon, with its contemporary look, is easy to position to suit your needs but then, it folds up to minimize its profile.

Kohler Artifacts
The Artifacts, on the other hand, harkens back to classic, traditional design. Now, I should note that I’m featuring their pot-filler, because I just love it, but there is also a standard design by the same name. How great is that pot-filler though?

Hansgrohe Metris
They say looks aren’t everything and they may be right, but the Hansgrohe Metris faucet isn’t just beautiful in its simplicity, its added functionality of a two-spray locking spray diverter helps keep your focus on the task at hand and makes it easy to accomplish. This kitchen prep assistant doesn’t just wow with this helpful function, its sexy, sleek design will complement both a traditional and a modern decor.

Waterstone 5100
What can be said about the Waterstone 5100? To me, the appeal with this one is obvious. It’s the wheel. The pull-down spout for this lovely faucet is guided by a wheel – it has all the functionality we’ve come to expect from a modern faucet and all the appeal of one you may find in an historical farm house.
As you’re choosing the details for your dream kitchen, remember that adding something fabulous – whether it’s for design or function – will be what sparks the kitchen love affair you didn’t know you needed.
A luxury kitchen still under construction is the perfect time to make design decisions. 1050 Norman in Brentwood is scheduled for completion this Spring. The buyer with great taste and good timing can choose their finishes. And faucets.
