I love living in Los Angeles. We have beautiful weather, gorgeous scenery and fabulous shopping, restaurants and shows. I decided to share some of my L.A. favorites. One of our family’s “go-to” restaurants is The Hungry Cat.
There are 3 Hungry Cat locations (Hollywood, Santa Barbara and Santa Monica Canyon) and the Santa Monica location is actually close enough for us to walk there from our house. I love being able to walk to nearby restaurants in the community with my family.
The restaurant is decorated beautifully with splashes of blue color that fit into the beach setting of Santa Monica Canyon perfectly. The service is great, the wait staff is very helpful and can suggest dishes to try. We order a seafood platter to get a little taste of everything and we are never disappointed.
The Hungry Cat has offered the highest quality fish and meats matched with Southern California’s abundant seasonal produce since 2005. Because the menu is inspired by seasonal produce, the result is that The Hungry Cat is more than a seafood house. It is a continuously evolving restaurant, following the seasons, and turning out amazing cuisine.
Chef David Lentz is the culinary mastermind behind these fabulous restaurants. The Hungry Cat also produces its own in-house smoked meats and seafood, curing and pickling, as well as featuring a unique farmers market driven cocktail program, esoteric wine list and rotating local beers.
Here’s a little proof that I really do live, work and play on L.A.’s Westside: My friend and colleague, Santiago Arana, posted this fun Instagram of our open house signs right there in front of The Hungry Cat in Santa Monica.
I love my city and know it well. If you want to know more about the Los Angeles real estate market, please get in touch.
