Some people elaborately plan for Valentine’s Day, and some forget about it until the very last minute. If you are in the last minute camp, I thought I’d share a few ideas.
Chocolates are always a good thing, but be sure that you choose quality chocolates. If you’re in the Los Angeles area, try dropping by any of these fabulous chocolatiers. Last minute doesn’t need to mean poor quality.
What about a stay-cation? It’s amazing how a last minute local get-away can seem like a mini vacation. Many hotels and resorts have last minute specials or weekend romance packages available, and you can often get a wonderful deal last minute. We love Santa Monica and I’ve shared a few of our favorite places for when we vacation locally.
If an overnight get-away isn’t for you, what about a wonderful, relaxing brunch? We tend to think of romantic Valentine’s Day dinners, but a lovely champagne brunch in a beautiful setting can set the tone for an entire day of romance. If you’re in Los Angeles, here are several of my favorite brunch spots.
Sometimes time spent together is the best gift on Valentine’s Day. I am so blessed to be married to my wonderful husband, Don, that every day feels like Valentine’s Day.
