Last week I wrote about the importance of art education, and the long term, positive impact it has on shaping a child’s mind and creativity. It is for this reason that I am such a strong supporter of PS Arts, an organization, whose sole purpose is to provide art education to under-served schools in the Los Angeles area.
Lisa Price of Priceless Interiors and her team created a comfortable and inviting living room in our booth – Home Is Where The Art Is.
Our booth was also a celebration of the Rams returning to Los Angeles, so we brought in a TV, playing a Rams game, of course!

Our friends at The Duck Brand generously provided us with lots of tape, including special Rams print tape to compliment our theme!
We were very happy to see some of our favorite celebrities on the red carpet and then stop by our booth.
Our fabulous art education volunteers helped children create their projects with the rolls, upon rolls, upon rolls of the colorful tape that the Duck Brand so generously provides.

Actor Mark Feuerstein and his son opted for a neck tie, and a father-daughter team went for a coordinating bow-tie and hair-bow project.
Neck ties, bow ties and hair bows were popular projects in our booth. Children (and their parents!) were able to create to their hearts’ desires.
There was lots of entertainment, great food and creative fun to be had!

The Doppler Effect – young and incredibly talented musicians entertained the crowd.

Everyone loves this Lemonade Stand. The best!
Most important? The event raised just over half a million dollars! That is enough to provide a year-long arts education for almost 3,000 students in LA. Fantastic!

My husband Don Diamont and I are proud to support PS Arts
This has been my fourth year at Express Yourself, and I look forward to helping again in 2017! (To see previous years: 2013 – 2014 – 2015) Support the arts!
