Spring is just around the corner and as we shake off any winter blues we might have, it’s time to embrace greens! (And metallics, jewel tones and marble!) Try one of these popular spring trends in your home.
Greenery
Layering saturated hues with natural furnishings is a beautiful way to incorporate a vibrant color like Pantone’s 2017 Color of the Year, Greenery. This color takes its cue from the environment and is a gorgeous yellow-green shade. Take advantage of it this Spring to add pop and contrast to your overall decor. Experiment with it in luxurious upholstery, like this gorgeous bench, or a stunning lacquered piece.

Mixed Metals
Although mixing metals is not new, the recent popularity of both industrial and minimalist design has brought them renewed acclaim. Updating a space in gold and silver or copper and chrome can be accomplished rather easily in accents such as trays, metal stools or pendants. Get creative with your combination for a sleek and elegant look or a more rustic and romantic one. The brass pendant lamp and silver stool in this bedroom remind me of a romantic mediterranean get away.

Foraged Floral Arrangements
Similar to farm to table restaurants where the menu is subject to what the Chef finds fresh daily, these relaxed and unruly arrangements are fresh, organic and natural. Avail yourself of an abundant bouquet of big, bold blossoms this Spring. A great resource for inspiration is Louesa Roebuck’s bewitching book, Foraged Flora. Make your Spring bouquets poetically beautiful.

Marble
It is pleasing to see a time-honored material such as marble used in fresh and modern ways. Traditionally used to spectacular effect in temples and palaces, today’s designers are inspired to use it in au courant ways. This sleek and white marble clock adds a simple graceful touch to a space.

Jewel Tones
Sapphire, ruby, and emerald – gemstone hues can transform a room. They are equally elegant and energizing. Used in everything from paint to upholstery, they can alter a traditional space as much as a modern one and turn your home into a treasured piéd-a-terre. Usher it in with accents or go big on the walls. The vibrant turquoise on the wall is complemented by the rich charcoal grays and neutrals to ground the space.
